Job Summary
IBEX IT Business Experts is seeking a full-time Pharmacy Technician in support of our client at Fort Sam Houston, TX. Successful candidates will have previous experience in clinical customer service and are very detail oriented. We are seeking individuals who are self-driven and eager to learn, as the Pharmacy Technician will be responsible for a variety of tasks in a military hospital setting. Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be a US Citizen
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1-year relevant work experience in a clinical or pharmacy setting
- Has completed 160 hours of externship training
- Current Pharmacy Technician Certification through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board
- Current registration with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy
- Must hold a valid Basic Life Support (BLS) Course Completion Card issued by the American Red Cross
Preferred Qualifications:
- Exposure/experience in all phases of pharmacy operations: unit dose, cart filling, automated dispensing cabinet replenishment, medication order interpretation, unit of use preparation, inventory management
- Previous experience working with ScriptPro to fill prescriptions and refills
- Experience in medical billing
Work Environment:
This role is 40 hours a week, no overtime is permitted without approval from IBEX corporate Project manager and Fort Sam Houston contract office.
This job operates in a variety of clinical environments. Environmental exposures include, but are not limited to: Blood-borne pathogen exposure Bio-hazardous waste Chemicals/gases/fumes/vapors Communicable diseases Electrical shock, Floor Surfaces, Hot/Cold Temperatures, Indoor/Outdoor conditions, Latex, Lighting, Patient care/handling.
This job operates in a professional office environment.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift or move office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are determined by which department of the client the Pharmacy Technician will support.
