The purpose of this course is to ensure the candidate has an advanced, deep understanding of the approach for auditing against the ISO/IEC 20000 standard. Once qualified through to the auditor level, candidates should understand and be able to apply an appropriate approach to either internal or external audit content for the ISO/IEC 20000 standard within organisations that currently hold or are working towards certification.

It does not cover the principles of generic management system audit techniques, and for this reason delegates attending the course are required to have a minimum of three years’ experience conducting audits in an IT environment. This may be as a third party auditor or as an internal auditor for an organisation. It is mandatory to have attended an APMG-accredited Auditor course in order to take this examination.

Combined with suitable auditing experience, gained before attending the course, on completion candidates should understand and be able to apply and analyse the content of ISO/IEC 20000 with a view to successfully completing an audit. Specifically candidates will
